The Iloilo Convention Center became the stage for the first-ever Artificial Intelligence Fest (AI Fest) 2025, a historic three-day gathering that brought together brilliant minds and groundbreaking ideas under the theme “Coding a Better Future: Responsible AI for Cities and Communities.”
Organized by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), DEVCON Philippines, and other key partners — including Innovate Iloilo — the event featured a dynamic lineup of plenary sessions, hands-on workshops, research competitions, and showcases. Among the highlights were:
The unveiling of innovative AI platforms such as TALINO.AI, SMARTGRID.AI, and the DOST–AWS AI Innovation Sandbox.
Inspiring discussions on AI in research, governance, and education.
The AI Hackathon 2025, which encouraged creativity and collaboration among young innovators.
SineAI, a film competition highlighting the creative use of AI in storytelling, and the formal induction of the SineAI Guild of Western Visayas.
The AI Innovation Colloquium and Lightning Talks, where AI-driven startups and industry leaders showcased real-world applications.
Closing ceremonies that celebrated winners, cultural performances, and a call to continue shaping a future where technology empowers people.
By uniting government, academe, industry, and civil society, AI Fest 2025 positioned Iloilo City — a UNESCO Creative City — as a hub for responsible AI adoption and innovation in the Philippines.
