Mastering Business Finances: Highlights from the “Cashflow 101” Kapehan Ta! Session

In the dynamic world of startups, a great idea creates the spark, but solid financial management is what keeps the fire burning. On September 30, 2025, the startup community in Iloilo gathered at the ISAT U HRT Center for another insightful edition of the Kapehan Ta! Startup Huddle Session.

Organized by ISAT U Kwadra TBI, the event brought together a diverse group of startup founders, eager students, and local innovators. While passion fuels entrepreneurship, the reality is that financial literacy is often the hurdle that determines long-term success. To address this, the session was themed “Cashflow 101” and focused on the critical mechanics of sustaining a business.

The huddle was facilitated by seasoned finance practitioners Regor Francis D. Dadivas and Maila Rose D. Dadivas. They expertly demystified complex financial concepts, transforming them into practical, actionable insights. The facilitators emphasized that for a startup to survive, understanding the movement of money is non-negotiable.

Participants were guided through essential strategies for monitoring cash inflows and outflows, ensuring they know exactly where every peso is allocated. Beyond simple tracking, the session empowered attendees to read and understand financial statements—a vital skill for making data-driven decisions. The ultimate goal was to teach founders how to build a healthy cash position that supports scalability and resilience.

Kapehan Ta! continues to prove itself as more than just a meeting place; it is a vital hub where the local ecosystem strengthens its roots. By providing a space for entrepreneurs to connect, share knowledge, and learn from experts, ISAT U Kwadra TBI is helping build the next generation of robust enterprises. We look forward to seeing how these innovators apply their new financial toolkit to their growing businesses!
