11 April 2025 — Innovate Iloilo proudly supported the induction of officers of the pioneering chapter of the Mechatronics and Robotics Society of the Philippines (MRSP) Western Visayas, which was held at the 8th Floor, Penthouse, Iloilo City Hall.
The Department of Science and Technology VI (DOST Region VI) Regional Director Engr. Rowen R. Gelonga joined the Mechatronics and Robotics Society of the Philippines (MRSP)-Western Visayas' induction and oathtaking of officers led by Iloilo City Mayor — Jerry Treñas.
The Executive Director of Iloilo Economic Development Foundation, Inc., Mikee Canaman, also led the MOU signing between ILEDF through Innovate Iloilo and Mechatronics and Robotics Society of the Philippines. This MOU establishes a partnership between the two organizations to collaborate on making Iloilo one of the innovation hubs of the Philippines, conducting lectures, symposia, capacity-building events, and exhibits, and pursuing other mutually agreed cooperation activities.
